Michael Trachiotis is an optioned screenwriter and an award winning short filmmaker for "Death Knocked 3 Times," a black and white horror film that featured stop motion animation that he wrote, produced, directed and edited. Additionally he has produced and edited 4K 2D/3D films and animations for Augmented Reality including the animations that project from the Black Hatchet animated comic books.
Michael was fortunate to have several mentors and influencers including John Sayles, Werner Herzog, David Webb Peoples, Penny Marshall and Stan Lee -- who shared insights into story, script and character development that have been woven into script narratives.
Michael worked for Penny Marshall and Parkway Productions in story, script and project development. As well he has been retained to consult and strengthen scripts, screenplays, comic books, graphic novels and novels that encompassed analysis, character development, dialog, story arc, editing, rewriting and generating original material.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism (Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo Advertising and PR), Bachelor of Arts in Cinema (San Francisco State University Screenwriting) and a Master of Fine Arts in Motion Pictures and Television (Academy of Art University, San Francisco Producing and Directing).
At AAU, his MFA thesis project -- a screenplay and graphic novel film prevision materials were featured two years in a row for outstanding achievement in the Spring Exhibitions. Several years later he returned to AAU and taught graduate and undergraduate students in the art of building compelling Hollywood stories and screenplays.
Furthermore, Michael is a successful and accomplished artist, illustrator and graphic designer and used these skills to create a very lucrative Augmented Reality (AR) consulting and apparel business; hand drawing and printing graphic T-shirts that projected films, animations and videos.
Additionally, he built a very profitable boutique ad agency, PR and design firm that included art direction, copy writing, illustration, graphic design, script writing, plus Michael produced, directing and editing over 80 print, TV, AR, digital and radio commercials and campaigns.
